Treatment

Nik saw his friend Matthew again. Matthew had a different sort of cancer called a tumour. Matthew told Nik that he has had three sorts of treatment for his cancer.

Matthew has had:

Chemotherapy This is tablets to swallow or medicine put into wiggly

Radiotherapy This is treatment with rays that you can't see.

Operation This is when the cancer is taken away during a special sleep called an anaesthetic.

Did you know...
