Going to the park

A few days later little Ali came back home again. Ali’s hair started to fall out. Nik and Sonia knew that this was because of the chemotherapy that Ali had had. Sonia liked to stroke Ali's soft head.That afternoon they all went to the park. Sonia could see that people were staring at Ali’s head. Sonia felt cross and embarrassed. She wished Ali had worn a hat.

In the park Nik practised bouncing the football on his knee. He thought he was getting better until the ball hit his leg and then hit Ali on the head and made him cry. Dad shouted at him for not being careful. Nik was REALLY fed up.
