About Contact Magazine
Contact is a free, quarterly magazine for families of children and young people with cancer. It is aimed at families with a newly diagnosed child, to those undergoing or off treatment and for bereaved families. It is also highly relevant for professionals in the field or indeed anyone with an interest in childhood cancer.
Contact provides a unique blend of reliable, up to date information on childhood cancer, treatment and current research with articles of human interest from families and survivors. The aims of the magazine are to provide continuing support to affected families, whatever the outcome of the child’s illness, to aid understanding of the research process and convey a message of hope and optimism.
Each new issue focuses on a particular theme – some that have been covered for example are education, siblings, teenagers and young adults and clinical trials. You can check themes for the coming year here. Articles from patients, families and professionals are always welcome, on any topic, as is feedback on individual editions or articles and ideas for future issues.
Contact is produced by the Children's Cancer and Leukaemia Group (CCLG) in collaboration with the National Alliance of Childhood Cancer Parent Organisations (NACCPO) and sponsored by the Lisa Thaxter Trust
